Other television actors

Television performers who don't fit into any of the previous categories...

Betty White:

(One of my all-time favorite autographs; she's so great!)

Steffani Brass:

(This one goes WAY back. If this kid isn't in her 20s by now, she's at least in college.)

Elisabeth Rohm:

(As you can see, this is another ancient success!)

Rachel Nichols:

Jenna Fischer:

(I'm considering writing more people from this cast, but I'm not as fond of the show as I once was. Jenna Fischer was always my favorite of the bunch.)

Invasion cast photo:

This is one of my oddest successes, because I can't quite figure out why one of the signatures is missing. This picture is almost certainly preprinted, but the lack of one person's signature makes me think each one was done separately. It's definitely not autopenned. I've never been able to figure that particular one out, what went on there.

Ginnifer Goodwin:

(This reply was my longest wait to date at three and a half years! I guess my letter got lost.)

Megan Mullally:

(This one was for friends of mine, the world's cutest couple who met over a mutual love of Megan Mullally. Yes, really! She usually doesn't sign through the mail, but she was doing a play here in NY so I thought I'd try sending her a picture at the theatre, and sure enough.)

Collection: voiceover artists

Another small collection - one I plan on expanding at some point when I have less on my plate. You've seen some of my voiceover successes here at my Wonderfalls post (Scotch Ellis Loring, Ted Dykstra, Catherine Haight), so I won't be reposting those.

Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons - Homer Simpson and others):

Sarah Drew (Daria - Stacy)

Collection: showbiz families

I have a weird fondness for families full of performers. Unfortunately, most of said families are a bit too famous to be signing autographs through the mail. But while I haven't got Cusacks, Barrymores or Redgraves, I do have some pretty nice autographs - even an Oscar nominee among them! I'd love to add Amber and Russ Tamblyn to this category someday...we'll see. Fingers crossed!

Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer, Tin Man, Elf) & Emily Deschanel (Bones) (daughters of Caleb and Mary Jo Deschanel):

(Preprints, but a great pictures! I've heard rumors that Emily's started signing through the mail, so maybe I'll try for a real one.)

Dakota Fanning (I Am Sam, Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Runaways), & Elle Fanning (Babel, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Phoebe in Wonderland):

(I sent the one on the right just to Dakota, but she had Elle sign it as well. I'm hoping to get a solo pic of Elle one of these days, and maybe an updated one of Dakota.)

Aria Wallace (The Perfect Man, Roxy Hunter) & Daylia Wallace (The Catch):

(How cute are the inscriptions?!)

Abigail Breslin (Oscar nominee, Best Supporting Actress for Little Miss Sunshine) & Spencer Breslin (The Kid, The Cat in the Hat, The Happening)

Bobby Coleman (Martian Child) & Holliston Coleman (Bless the Child)

Liliana Mumy (Cheaper by the Dozen, daughter of actor Bill Mumy of Lost in Space and The Twilight Zone - no reply from him yet, though)

House MD cast collection

Another collection that's sorely lacking. Most of these actors are a bit difficult to get signatures from, and really, it's not one of the collections I've spent tons of time and effort on (that's saved for my cult shows!) I may try for Robert Sean Leonard and Olivia Wilde (though I don't think she signs), but other than that I don't see this collection gathering much momentum.

Hugh Laurie ("Dr. Gregory House")

(A preprint - he stopped signing after I'd sent him my letter and pictures. But it's nice to get anything back, and they did return my pictures! A real signature from him would be amazing, but this is a nice picture anyway!)

Jennifer Morrison ("Dr. Allison Cameron"):

(This photo came back to me completely crushed, like it had been balled up. So much for "photographs: do not bend!" Still, it's the only autograph I've seen from her that appears to have a non-secretarial inscription - or maybe a different secretary was writing that day, as the usual inscriptions on her photos are in big block letters and identical to those of Jesse Spencer's photos as well. Either way, not a big deal, the signature is hers and that's good enough. Usually I'd use a studio type photo but this magazine shoot was so great - I love this picture of her.)

Gilmore Girls cast collection

Okay, it's another one with two autographs. Honestly, I'm over the show, though I still have a great deal of affection for its first season.

Lauren Graham ("Lorelai Gilmore"):

(A preprint, but still a nice one)

Alexis Bledel ("Rory Gilmore"):

(A rare authentic signature. She stopped signing through the mail after the first season of the show - luckily, I wrote to her after just a few episodes.)

Hex cast collection

Okay, so I only have the two original leads, and they're the only ones I intend to collect. It still counts as a cast collection as far as I'm concerned.

Jemima Rooper ("Thelma"):

(I'd like to get Christina Cole to sign this one as well, but I'd hate to lose it.)

Christina Cole ("Cassie"):

Doctor Who cast collection

Much like the Doctor himself, currently on his eleventh regeneration, this show never dies.

David Tennant ("The Tenth Doctor")

Elisabeth Sladen ("Sarah Jane Smith"):

John Barrowman ("Captain Jack Harkness"):

Camille Coduri ("Jackie Tyler"):

Julia Joyce ("Young Rose"):

(back of photo)

Christina Cole ("Lilith"):

Joan of Arcadia cast collection

This show got two seasons. Unfortunately, the second season was as bad as the first season was brilliant - instead of playing to their audience, they tried to get teenagers interested with love triangles and stuntcasting (ugh, Hilary Duff still haunts my nightmares), and not only did it not work, the people who were watching got fed up. And, of course, as soon as the show was getting back on track, it was canceled. We'll never know if that Ryan kid was Satan or what.

This is a pretty neglected collection, but I do intend to start attempting to get more for it one of these days.

Kathryn Joosten ("Old Lady God"):

Juliette Goglia ("Little Girl God"):

(Not sure why she made it out to "Ms. Lastname," though it was what was written across the top of the notepaper I used to write to her...maybe she thought I insist on being called by my last name? Or maybe she's just being polite. Either way, funny.)

Lindsay Hollister ("Computer Girl God"):

Pushing Daisies cast collection

Another show I'm not having huge amounts of luck with, but what can you do but keep trying?

Sammi Hanratty ("Young Chuck"):

Ellery Sprayberry ("Young Olive"):

Beth Grant (who reprised her role as "Marianne Marie Beattle" from Wonderfalls on this show!):

The envelope:

I should add that this was an unsolicited autograph - I guess she remembered that I really liked her character on that show. Very thoughtful of her! Unfortunately, it arrived the day after the episode aired, and of course I missed it - I still haven't seen it!

Firefly cast collection

FOX. Tim Minear. Only half a season. Pattern? Yes. Though Firefly ended up with a massive cult following; enough so that a feature film, Serenity, was released in 2005.

I haven't had much luck with this cast so far. But hey, never say die.

Jewel Staite ("Kaylee Frye"):

Summer Glau ("River Tam"):

(I usually don't send candid photos for the TV show collections, but this picture was so pretty I made an exception)

(And I sent a River one too):

I wrote to her a second time requesting she sign some photos for a friend, and she was nice enough to do so:

The Inside cast collection

Another brilliant, creative show headed by Tim Minear. Another show dead before its time. There are no DVDs, but at least Minear released all of the episodes as torrent files for us to see. A brilliant crime drama, but it never had a chance. Oddly, autographs from this show also appear to self-destruct. I've gotten two oddly damaged replies. One I replaced, one I haven't gotten around to (and probably won't, since the actress supplied her own photograph as well - apparently it arrived damaged).

Rachel Nichols ("Rebecca Locke"):

She was a good sport about signing for me again.

Peter Coyote ("Virgil Webster"):

Jennette McCurdy ("Madison St. Clair"):

The inscription implies she read my previous letters, so I'm assuming she just chooses not to sign images from that show, or else they just got lost. Not sure it's worth trying again, since it took ages to get this one! (Not complaining, of course, it's a great autograph, I was just hoping to have show-specific pictures for it!)

Audrey Wasilewski ("Ellen Olsen"):

Carrie Preston ("Kelly Comack"):

Liana Liberato ("Deena Presley"/"Becky George")

(Photo signed on back, may try again with an image with space on the front just to make it easier to display)

Kelsey Lewis ("Deena Presley"):

Another one that clearly got rained on. The actress was nice enough to not only sign that one, but provided an additional, intact photo of her own.
